Lesson Starter / Warmup
Start the lesson with a fun dice game focussing on Personal Protective Equipment.
Move on to a mix and match group activity exploring common words taken from H&S Policies.

Canva is an excellent, free, design tool that can save you time and money. It makes sense to use this instead of paying for expensive designers. This resource comes in PPT form and a pdf. The PPT is 27 slides.
This training PowerPoint and PDF is a basic step by step guide to get you started. A Facebook post is created for the purposes of an example, however, the skills learnt can be applied to other promotional documents such as Covers, brochures, posters, instagram posts, twitter posts, etc.
You can use Canva to market your store, and / or use it as a class lesson. Students / learners can create posters, design promotional material on a topic of your choice, etc.

It can be used as a self tutorial or as a full lesson workshop style. I used it to train a group of adults that were new to using iPads. They really enjoyed the session and learnt a lot of useful skills. A lesson plan is also included if you intend to deliver workshop style.
This is a 25 slide engaging powerpoint presentation that covers the important topic of Active Listening. It includes information on Body Language, Questioning, Paraphrasing, Facial Expressions, and best practice techniques. It is provided with a warm up group excercise and a lesson plan.

This resource contains a pack of 16 cards that bring up issues of ethical dilemmas that can be faced at work. It also contains a set of blank cards.
They can be used in the following ways:

Instructions:
1. Use the Word document to make any changes to the scenarios. Go straight to 2 if no changes are required.
2. Print out the cards sheet that you want to use.
3. Cut out with scissors or guillotine
4. Shuffle the deck and let learners choose a card. Learners express their opinion and then the group discusses whether they agree or disagree.
5. Optionally, have the group make up their own workplace dilemmas using the black sheet and try them out with each other in teams.
